Awareness
Awareness means mindfulness. For myself, for others, for our environment! The term awareness can have different meanings in different contexts.
In psychology, it refers to the conscious perception of moments, relationships, situations…
In a social context, awareness describes sensitivity to discrimination, power structures, and inappropriate behavior.
What does this have to do with trauma and trauma therapy?
The development and implementation of awareness concepts involves preventive strategies and can be a form of “mental first aid” for stressful experiences.
